Analisis Implementasi Sistem Informasi Manajemen Rumah Sakit (SIMRS) di RSUP H. Adam Malik Medan Menggunakan Metode NOISE

The implementation of a Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) supports information integration, operational effectiveness, and decision-making in hospitals. This study analyzes SIMRS implementation at H. Adam Malik General Hospital, Medan, and identifies its conditions, needs, opportunities, strengths, and areas for improvement using the NOISE framework. A descriptive qualitative approach was conducted at the hospital’s SIMRS Installation during an internship from August 27 to September 27, 2025. Data were collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews with the field supervisor, and documentation, then analyzed using the five NOISE components. The findings indicate that SIMRS facilitates information integration across hospital units and provides applications and reports tailored to service needs. Its strengths include internally developed applications, centralized data storage and backup mechanisms, and management support. However, improvements are needed, particularly in recruiting additional programmers, enhancing user and developer competencies, and structuring application development requests. Development opportunities include integration with other systems, dashboard utilization, cloud computing, and business intelligence. In conclusion, SIMRS implementation has supported hospital services and information management at H. Adam Malik General Hospital, Medan. Nevertheless, continuous development is essential to ensure the system adapts to evolving healthcare needs and technological advancements while maintaining operational effectiveness and supporting informed decision-making across hospital service units.
