Teacher performance is one of the key factors determining the success of educational implementation, particularly in vocational high schools that emphasize competency-based learning and workforce readiness. Various challenges faced by government contract teachers (PPPK teachers) in carrying out their professional responsibilities require effective leadership support and working conditions that enhance job satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the effect of transformational leadership on teacher performance with job satisfaction as a mediating variable among PPPK teachers at SMK 5 Denpasar. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of all PPPK teachers at SMK 5 Denpasar, totaling 51 teachers. A saturated sampling technique was applied, whereby all members of the population were selected as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The results indicate that transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on PPPK teachers' performance. Transformational leadership also has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Job satisfaction was found to have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction partially mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and teacher performance. These findings suggest that strengthening transformational leadership practices implemented by school leaders can improve teachers' job satisfaction, which in turn enhances the performance of PPPK teachers at SMK N 5 Denpasar.
