Analisis Tindak Tutur Direktif pada Interaksi Guru dan Siswa dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMA Negeri 5 Samarinda

Abstract

This research was inspired by the important role of directive speech act in teacher student interactions during Indonesian language learning as a means of directing, managing, also encouraging students' participation in the study phase. About the objective in this research was to describe that types and functions of directive speech act used by teacher in the teaching also study phase of Indonesian language at SMAN 5 Samarinda. Author’s research implemented a descriptive qualitative approach, with the data consisting of utterances produced by teachers also student in classes XI-8 then XI-10. The data were accumulated through observations, audio recording, transcription, and then were analyzed using data reduction, classification, data display, lastly conclusion making. The findings revealed five types of directive speech act, namely command, requirment, invitation, advice, also prohibition, with commands being the most dominant type used by teachers in managing classroom activities. The function of directive speech act identified at this study included regulatory, instructional, participatory, educational, and communicative functions, with the instructional function being the most prominent. These showing indicate that directive speech act no just serve to direct students' behavior but also contribute to creating polite, interactive, and conducive classroom communication. Therefore, directive speech act play a crucial role to promoting effective, orderly, also student-centered Indonesian language lesson.
