Kontribusi Pimpinan Daerah Alwashliyah dalam Menanamkan Ideologi Organisasi Al Jam’iyatul Washliyah di Kabupaten Deli Serdang

Abstract

This study aims to determine the nature of the contribution made by the Alwashliyah Regional Leadership in instilling the ideology of the Al Jam'iyatul Washliyah organization in Deli Serdang Regency, as well as to identify the implementation strategies, scope, obstacles, and solutions applied. The study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews with Alwashliyah regional leaders and key informants (council chairpersons, madrasah principals, and administrators), and document analysis. Data analysis was conducted interactively—involving reduction, presentation, and verification—to ensure the validity of the findings. The results indicate that the regional leadership's contribution is realized across three main areas: first, education (strengthening Alwashliyah madrasahs and conducting guidance activities to internalize Ahlussunnah wal-Jama'ah values ​​within the Shafi'i school of thought); second, dakwah or religious outreach (regular study sessions, youth guidance, outreach tours, kitab kuning [classical Islamic text] studies, and the use of digital media to expand reach); and third, social welfare (managing orphanages, distributing aid, and building donor networks for community programs). Strategies employed include strengthening educational institutions, empowering preachers (da'i), utilizing social media, and establishing partnerships with donors and relevant agencies to support social programs. Obstacles encountered stem from both internal and external factors. These findings underscore the strategic role of the regional leadership in preserving and disseminating the organization's ideology through the synergy of educational, religious outreach, and social activities.
