Sedentary behavior refers to activities involving low energy expenditure, generally performed while sitting or lying down for prolonged periods. Among school-aged children, high sedentary activity, including gadget use, may contribute to low physical activity and physical performance. Plyometric training is an exercise that can improve physical capacity through explosive movements. Objective: This study aimed to determine the effect of plyometric training on the physical performance of children aged 9–11 years with sedentary behavior at SDN Palebon 01. Methods: This experimental study used a Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) with a pretest-posttest control group design. A total of 72 children were randomly assigned to treatment and control groups, each consisting of 36 participants. The treatment group underwent plyometric training twice weekly for four weeks. Physical performance was assessed using the Multistage Fitness Test to estimate VO₂max before and after the intervention. Results: Mean VO₂max increased by 2.447 mL/kgBW/min in the treatment group and 0.878 mL/kgBW/min in the control group (p = 0.000). The increase was significantly greater in the treatment group than in the control group (p = 0.000). Conclusion: Four weeks of plyometric training improved physical performance, particularly cardiorespiratory capacity, in children aged 9–11 years with sedentary behavior
